Info
The Italian Association for Organic Agriculture (AIAB) was initiated in 1982 and officially established in 1988. It unites several member types (farmers, processors, extension experts, researchers and consumers) in all Italian Regions. AIAB promotes organic farming as a model for rural development through member tutorship, policy orientation at Regional, national and EU level, education, publishing, promotion, extension and research. It is organized by regional chapters (18) coordinated by a federal structure. AIAB staff participate in Ministerial committees on organic farming and IFOAM committees. In 2007 AIAB founded FIRAB (Italian Foundation for the Research in Organic Farming)
